Come, sit down. Let’s talk about something VERY uncomfortable….BUGS….More specifically, bugs in YOUR home!
You want them gone, right? But, you don’t want to expose your children or pets to the harmful side effects of most pesticides.
So, what do you do?
If you are like me, you try a myriad of ‘natural’ products, end up throwing your hands up in the air, and in some cases buy a can of chemical laden bug killer OR call in the professionals. In any case, it’s time consuming, frustrating and ultimately puts your household at risk.
Introducing, Owens Organics and their Best Yet Bug Spray!
From their website:
BEST YET BUG SPRAY IS A 100% ORGANIC, NATURAL BUG SPRAY.
Though BEST YET bug spray is deadly to these and other pests, it is completely safe and harmless to humans, pets, wildlife, and even beneficial insects such as butterflies and ladybugs. This 100% Organic pest control makes use of nature’s own defenses against harmful pests, and its solution of red cedar oil and quartz is safe for all.
The power to eliminate bed bugs naturally, without chemicals or deet, is at your disposal.
Methods of Pest Control
BEST YET bug spray can be used a variety of ways, including:

So, here’s the scoop. I live in the tropics in a manufactured home that sits above the ground. EVERY year around the time when it finally starts to cool off (November) we get an influx of creepy crawlies in the house. Some of these invaders have included: spiders, Palmetto Bugs, roaches, Wood Scorpions, “Sugar” Ants, and Fire Ants. And, EVERY year we end up calling in ‘the professionals’ to eradicate the critters so we don’t have to live with them year around. This has also meant that the kids and I have to leave the house for at least a day. But this year was different. This year we had a new cat and could not leave with him for a few days. The kids were so upset at the thought of us spraying poison where the cat could be exposed to it. Though the ‘professionals’ told us it was safe for the cat, we didn’t buy it!
On the first glance at this product, I was very impressed that the active ingredient is Cedar Oil. I was equally impressed this product could not only be sprayed WHILE our pet is in the home, but, actually sprayed ON the pet if they have fleas. This sounded like a product I HAD to try!
This spray works best “on contact”, so, you need to find out where the bugs are entering your home and where they are congregating. This year, our uninvited guests were spiders, Palmetto Bugs and Fire Ants. Spraying the entry ways (doors, under kitchen and bathroom cabinets where pipes come up from the underbelly of the house, and windows) plus areas where we had seen critters gathering, I sprayed my heart out.
Soon the ants and spiders were dropping quickly. They were easy to get rid of. Those yucky Palmetto Bugs were a different story. I did have to give a second spraying a few days later before they were equally subdued.
One thing to note – though the Cedar Oil is pleasant smelling and reminiscent of Grandma’s Cedar Chest, initially the smell is VERY strong. Fortunately, we only need to use this spray when it’s cool enough to have the windows wide open for a few hours. If I had to use this in the summer heat with the house sealed up, it would be too strong!
Now, since our cat is an indoor cat, he doesn’t have fleas or ticks. But, that didn’t stop my kids from finding some of the outdoor cats suffering from these pests. With their owners permission, we sprayed two cats with The Best Yet Bug Spray and sure enough, the fleas dived bombed off these felines. Plus, neither one have had any ticks pulled from around their necks or backs since being sprayed.
I’d definitely give The Best Bug Spray from Owens Organics two thumbs up! I will happily order from them near the end of our next hot stretch! A 1 quart spray bottle retails for $29.95
